It is seeking balance for ourselves, while working towards solutions that build resilience in human and ecological communities. It means that as we look at taking care of our own personal wellness, the physical and mental, we look beyond ourselves as just individuals. We start to see our wellness as part of, and tied to, the wellness of the human community and the planet’s ecosystems.
I am Kristina Hunter and I have spent over 20 years working with governments, corporations, and NGOs on sustainability. I've taught these concepts to over 10,000 post-secondary students.
Along the way, I also learned a thing or two about wellbeing after surviving cancer twice while critically assessing the wellness research.
It's Wednesday night and at the end of a long workday, now with the added stressors of the global pandemic, you finally get to bed.
